【Overcoming the Fear of Razor (Haircuts) & (Hairstyling) Wax】
Now, why I ever even began getting perms is a good question because my hair has natural wave in it.
However, when my hair was in much longer layers, I always felt that natural wave was my enemy unless I had the uniformity of a perm.**
The perm also gave my hair body (looking back at photos, it also eventually made my long layers look like straw).
One day I was expressing my fears (just before I got my hair cut short) and she informed me that HER HAIR was a razor cut, and that she used a product called WATER WAX.
Then she proceeded to pull out one of her numerous Short Hairstyles magazines and asked me to pick out some styles I liked.
I quickly found three.
Each one was a RAZOR CUT.
I made my hair appointment right away (had to go to a new hairdresser because my hairdresser of many years thought that a razor cut would make me bald).
I think the rubbing warms the product and helps make the distribution more even.
This product brings high definition to the new choppy styles (or as my hairdresser calls it, the "messy" look).
And this product lasts a long, long time.
A little goes a long way.
An added benefit is that it does seem to add some shine to the hair.
By the way, I've let my hair grow slightly, but I'll always keep it short enough to get the benefit of a razor cut.
Oh, and my beloved longtime hairdresser is now a firm believer in razor cuts, too.
When she saw how fuller my hair appeared, she agreed to begin using a razor comb tool.
The smell is a clean smell, fresh and kind of energizing.
The other good thing is that this wax washes off really easily and goes in as well as it comes out!!*****
